Clair de Lune Poppy - organic seeds

This is one of the poppies to come out of the Tourne-Sol poppy breeding population that I’ve been working with since 2008.

I’ve got to admit, this was not my favorite poppy that we’ve been breeding on farm. But every time, I’d walk folks through our poppy plots - this was the one that just about everyone else loved. So I started to pay a little bit more attention to it and I’ve come around to this beauty.

Camélia named this variety Clair de Lune - it has a delicate pale violet colour as if the field was basked in moonlight.

Clair de Lune is a variety with a lot of diversity. Though all the flowers do fall in the same colour palette, the petals come in a range of frilliness. Most of these are single blooms, but there are a few puffy flowers in the mix.
