LIana Yardlong Bean - organic seeds

Early maturing green yardlong bean that can be grown outdoors. Harvest at 18” for best flavour.

I love yardlong beans. The way the plants tower over you. The way the 2 to 3 foot pods hang off these tall plants. And the way they taste - almost like green beans but with a crisp fresher edge (some call it an asparagus flavour.) But yardlong beans usually have one challenge: they take a long time to grow and our season is a bit too short.

So I trialed a bunch of different yardlong bean varieties to see if any did better in our climate. And WOW did one ever stand out above the rest. Liana from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange was a clear winner. It was weeks earlier than any of the other varieties and it produced great yields of delicious green pods.

You can definitely grow this yardlong bean outdoors in zone 5 - I’m not sure about zone 4 but if you have success, please let me know!
